We also acknowledge our responsibilities to the community in which we reside and the planet upon which we all depend.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
At Advanced Interior Solutions Ltd it is our policy to consider our impact on the environment, both within our day to day office activities and on-site when we are undertaking refurbishment and fit-out projects. View our environmental policy in full.
COMMUNITY
Our community project for 2009 was in aid of the Buckinghamshire Community Foundation. The foundation have recently relocated premises and we have helped with the fit-out of their new office, including space planning and the provision of a new boardroom.
In 2008 we offered support to Skidz, The Aylesbury Motor Project . Skidz needed new internal classrooms to improve the learning facilities for the youngsters involved and Advanced Interior Solutions donated the manpower and materials to complete the construction of the two classrooms required. Skidz provide a range of opportunities for young people to enhance skills and build a sense of achievement and self-esteem. Read the Thank You from Skidz.
For 2007 Advanced Interior Solutions teamed up with ClearVision Lighting to help High Wycombe Rugby Union Football Club with a new ceiling and lighting design to improve facilities in their clubhouse.
CHARITY
Each December we hold a festive get-together for clients, suppliers and friends with an “open house” for guests to drop in as convenient and enjoy the informal atmosphere and an all-day breakfast. This event also helps us to raise funds for local disadvantaged children with all guests encouraged to bring along a gift to leave with our Santa in his grotto. At the last event over 50 presents and £800 was raised for two charities who support local families.
We are a Corporate Patron of the Buckinghamshire Community Foundation, an independent registered community charity that promotes charitable activity throughout the county. Charitable Foundations are unique in being able to offer support to many different groups at grass roots level, and the Buckinghamshire Community Foundation help a wide range of interest groups from all backgrounds and of all ages. We also have a new initiative with the Buckinghamshire Community Foundation having recently set up a flow through Named Fund. Advanced Interior Solutions will donate an amount each year and all staff will be encouraged to add to the pot with their own fund-raising initiatives. Our most recent donation was presented to Young Deaf Activities, a local charity who provide support to profoundly deaf children who communicate by sign language. Our £1000 donation will help to fund holdiay activities for the children.
The company has also assisted with the provision of a new class room and toilet block to accommodate an additional fifty pupils at the Agape School in Hyderabad. A total of 250 pupils now not only get an education but hope for the future. www.agapealiveinindia.org.uk
